Initially funded by The Lt Colonel Cohen Charitable Trust, the project has support hundreds of family members, including children, young people, and their parents, since it was launched three years ago.

The project was first based with the Family Partnership Team within Middlesbrough Council delivering Trauma Informed Practice. This innovative approach and it’s early successes led us to securing KPMG Foundation Funding.  During the first two years the project was successful in securing funding from South Tees Public Health Project, ADDER (Addiction, Diversion, Disruption, Enforcement and Recovery) and The Office of Police and Crime commissioner (OPCC) CURVE Programme.

In 2023, and with changes in Middlesbrough Council Children’s Services, Seen Heard Believed became an independent organisation.  KPMG Foundation, The Lt Colonel Cohen Charitable Trust and Tees Valley Community Foundation’s Intelligent Investment are the project’s key funders for the next two years.
